Frozen Shoulder

Frozen Shoulder

by The Chiropractor's Wife | Aug 12, 2020 | chiropractic care, Foundational Health, frozen shoulder, The Chiropractor's Wife

April of 2018 was a rough rough time.  We had a death in the family, I had a bad flu, and then I became acquainted with “frozen shoulder.”  Prior to this I had never heard that phrase or diagnosis. I still don’t completely understand it, but this is what happened to...
My First Over-Nighter in a Hammock

My First Over-Nighter in a Hammock

by The Chiropractor's Wife | Jul 29, 2020 | camping, Foundational Health, hammocks, The Chiropractor's Wife

When we suddenly found ourselves with regular 3 day weekends (thanks to the excitement of 2020), we made it a priority to get out into nature more.  The state of Georgia has an elaborate state park system and we’ve been on a mini-crusade to see as much of it as...
Stone Mountain

Stone Mountain

by The Chiropractor's Wife | Jul 15, 2020 | Foundational Health, The Chiropractor's Wife

I love Stone Mountain (Georgia).  If you’re not familiar with it, it’s a giant rock outcropping just east of Atlanta that kind of seems like the landing spot of a huge meteor millions of years ago. But it’s actually a huge “mountain” of granite that formed from within...
Failed Ferments and Why is This in Our Bedroom?

Failed Ferments and Why is This in Our Bedroom?

by The Chiropractor's Wife | Jul 1, 2020 | fermentation, Foundational Health, The Chiropractor's Wife

Fermentation is a little bit of a mystery to me.  I really like most fermented foods (as long as they’re not too spicy) but I don’t quite get the science behind it.  And something about the “mother” or “scoby” in the drinks still...
Real Men Eat Salads

Real Men Eat Salads

by The Chiropractor's Wife | Jun 17, 2020 | Foundational Health, nutrition, The Chiropractor's Wife

My 7 year-old nephew Ben is a big fan of his Uncle Brandt. He has been ever since we moved to the area almost 3 years ago. He once told his mom that when he grows up he wants to “crack bones and drink spinach smoothies” like The Chiropractor. (Just to clarify, let me...
The Story of Foundation Chiropractic

The Story of Foundation Chiropractic

by The Chiropractor's Wife | Jun 3, 2020 | Adams brothers, Foundation Chiropractic, Foundational Health, The Chiropractor's Wife

If you never knew Dr. Ryan Adams–Dr. Brandt Adams’ brother–and aren’t aware of how Foundation Chiropractic began, you should know the story because there’s a compelling thread of brother-love that has kept this practice going and helped it thrive,...

About Me

I'm a BYU music ed grad who went on to become a pediatric music therapist in Texas, where I met and married my chiropractor husband (with a whole lot happening in between). While I can barely differentiate between an occiput and a sacrum and really have no business being on a chiropractic website, I can tell you that everything you read here will be based on my real life experience of being married to Brandt. From endless discussions about gut health to encouragement to try barefoot running to his own fast lasting five days--it's a great, kind of weird, life--and one I wouldn't trade for anything.
